My name is J.M. Stewart. I am a children's book author based in Mission Viejo, CA, and I love turning everyday toddler routines into adventure-filled storybooks. Through my growing Toddler Adventure Series, I offer engaging read-alouds for young children, with options for signed editions, online purchasing, and fun extras that invite families to see each day as a new quest.

How My Stories Began

My writing journey started in my own living room, surrounded by stacks of picture books and a very curious toddler. As I read the same stories again and again, I kept wishing for tales where bedtime, errands, and playtime felt like real adventures, so I began writing the Toddler Adventure Series myself.

Halloween is finally here, and young pirate Haiming (HI-Ming) and his loyal furry friend, Mickey, can't wait to set off on their big adventure. Armed with a treasure map and a loot bag for treats, they venture into the neighborhood filled with spooky shadows, eerie sounds, glowing jack-o'-lanterns, and mysterious surprises around every corner.


As fear begins to creep in, Haiming and Mickey discover that courage isn't about being fearless—it's about facing the unknown together. With every door they knock on and every piece of loot they collect, their frightening quest becomes an unforgettable treasure hunt filled with laughter, friendship, and newfound confidence.
